Filmmakers need to practice.
SKETCHBOOK FILMS
everyone needs the opportunity to CREATE.
this is a space for emerging artists to experiment and learn.
Like unpublished sketches in an artist’s sketchbook, these films are practice for more ambitious projects to come.
these films are ultra-low budget, student-style productions aimed at helping creatives learn and expand their resumes in a low-stakes environment.
THE SKETCHBOOK ETHOS
Vee Bruno: “I have found that most people/artists I work with have great taste and an innate sense of what needs to improve in their art. I see many people struggle to overcome their self-criticism and believe in themselves enough to create something that might suck at first. When someone shares an idea or a script with me I am very hesitant to provide any critical feedback. I've found more success by responding with radical positivity and encouragement, especially in the early stages of development. I want people to feel empowered to create awful, unhinged trash that no one likes.”
